Description
This
instrument is one of the famous musical instruments among
Newars of Kathmandu. It is made of a special sort of
pinewood. Some sculptors give it an artistic touch by some
silver designs. ‘Tipbaansoori’ is blown and it produces
mighty melodious tune. A group of nine to fifteen ‘Jyaapus’
play this instrument.
